[maine is for lovers] a million universes over

a million universes over
i could search,
never once discovering a body
as grand as hers

coruscating charms
hang from the chandelier
and if i were to pluck each and
every one,
never would i find
one as bright as her

she streams overhead
in velvet night

and i watch her sew the sky
with the tips of her fingers
