When I am with her I want to stay with her for more than just a short while.
She can’t say much but she doesn’t have to.
I can see her kind spirit when I look into her eyes.
This little girl’s strength and determination will take you by surprise.
This girl is my cousin.
Her eyes are a bright shade of blue.
Sometimes when people see her they don’t know what to do.
It’s heartbreaking that a little girl, so sweet, has to live with a rare disease.
I want to tell the world that when you see a person with special needs all you have to do is smile.
They are human just like us.
Caring and compassionate, is all you need to be.
Break away from discrimination and set them free.
Free from the chains we put them in.
What they need most… is plain and simple.
Love and a helping hand.
My cousin Elise is so lucky.
She has her mom and dad, who love her so much.
When they look at their daughter, they see a sweet angel who could do no wrong.
Their friend Billy, wrote the most touching song called Elise Marie.
Sje has an older brother who protects her and loves her.
I can see his love for her when he kisses her one the cheek.
She has amazing grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunts. A swarm of people that take care of her out of pure love and joy.
Elise has them and so many more out there praying for her.
I am 13 years older than Elise yet she has been the one that has taught me.
She taught me about hope and faith.
She taught me to remain strong and to choose to be happy no matter the hardships that come along.
