Protecting Our Interests

Document why it is what it is,
Despite the evidence and fear opposed,
Supressing detail as law allows, misdirecting reality,
Cite example of outrage,
Safe in the knowledge of process,
Protected by privilege and friend alike,
Under no obligation to be honest,
Media reports agree your version of the truth,
For who is going to rage against the machine?
Dehumanised and demonised with speed,
No recourse for the weak in law, the weight of evidence spun,
And the voices of reason shut down.
