Heal the Rift of Division

There must be a motive to tear us apart,
A conquered divide ever easy,
To tweak all vague memory, from the very start,
And abandon all faith so completely,

Fight hard for injustice, for righting a wrong,
A miscarriage of the law so appalling,
Or just moan from the side-lines but don’t get involved,
A commitment necessary only as warning,

Not here by design but by undeserved luck,
Stand up for the meek and the helpless,
Then sit back in reflection on what makes life suck,
It is even our fight? Seems so worthless,

Let them feed off our weakness until kingdom come,
All alone lost in wilderness yonder,
Ever weaker, bored of protest that is no longer fun,
Remove the head to divide and then conquer.

    Powerful message, my friend.
This also had a nice flow to it.

    Well done!
