And the children march, they will have their say
Maybe forging tomorrows while dealing with today
I watch from the sideline, I’ve nothing more to say
Perhaps I’ll throw in some dollars and then be on my way
You see, I’m worried about tomorrow, sometimes fond of yesterday
Wouldn’t dare steal their thunder while I’m mired in today
So let the children march, let them have their say
Maybe they can buy back tomorrow from a bloodied yesterday

One can only hope.
The speech made by that young Fla student really moved me. It seems like common sense. But that’s sometimes the most difficult concept to grasp.
Something’s gotta be done.
Great piece of writing, my friend!
Thanks for reading Rome and picking up what made me want to write this. Yes there are no easy answers and valid opinions on both sides of the issues, but still I respect those kids and anyone really who were moved to express themselves and their fears.
