Women are Not the Only Fruit

When was it decided in which industries we can work?
Both heavy handed and really clumsy in design,
Stand together to share the blame from which we all shirk,
Looking inward for a dark and desperate sign,

Anecdotally giving reason, the burden we bare,
Can I do as good a job as you clearly do?
Cry equality for us all, just as if they could care,
A shared experience of the rights they give you,

Would it be unfairer now if we held the power?
Or remove the rights of equals just like now,
Search inside to see how much we would really empower,
The other gender, race or class to disavow,

Will power corrupt us just like them, absolutely?
Where legislation removes a right, defined by worth,
Societies fabric break down like now, with such fragility,
The architects of our own downfall, a lottery of birth.
