I see Mr. Mayhem’s face
He welcomes me into the void
Where only brave keep their remains
Souls in the air, bodies destroyed
The lives we live are just a cycle
& death cannot be nothing more
Than god sending a limousine
To cross through After from Before
& we drive on
Down the highway
To the setting sun
Singin’ blues in purgatory
Waiting to be one
& we ride on
With the devil,
Chronos, Jesus, Mars
We live on through dark passages
Reuniting with the stars
’cause it’s a strange process
Shaping the dust of a memory
It’s hell of a long way
From shackles to eternity
But when you learn from scenes forgotten
There is just one step ahead
We die many times in life
But we live on when we’re dead
So we ride on
With the devil,
Chronos, Jesus, Mars
We rise to the paths not taken
From the waste of scars
& we drive on
Down the highway
The road that we chose
As the winds play heavy metal
Heaven must be close
