A Poem For A Dear Friend

Tears run like rain, washing away hurt

Filling those rivers with sorrow,

First love goes , you question your tommorrow

Silent screams choked with pain

He’s gone, your heat taken rather than borrowed

No breath, closed chest,

Eyes sting and sadness brings

Rain pours on the floors

House floods can’t make it to the door

And just as your lungs fill

Your chest lays still

You take a breath, do your best

Sun rise, blue skies

I can’t promise you the rainbow

But you’ll live one day

Like you lived in those days before him

  1. That’s such a solid dedication to your friend 🙂 here’s hoping that they get a chance to read it. This was really beautiful.
