ALAS IT DON’T MATTER

A

Bastardy breaking God’s bold-standing law,
Alas it don’t matter to man much more,
Fallacy faking a fruitful endeavour,
Alas it don’t matter cause people know better,
Mercy and grace are seen in God’s face,
Alas man don’t care, himself he’s displaced,
Rough hewn and mind strewn across our blue-green place,
A creator’s fingerprints should be easy to trace,
Alas man’s nature of late shall not abide,
To laws in His love the Lord our God provides,
In keeping with regulations recited at the fall,
Alas man’s tendency is viewing Jesus small.
