Why can’t life be simple? The way I want things to stay?
Why can’t it all be sunny days, lemonade, birds songs, chirping frogs?
Shady trees and bumble bees? Why can’t we get along?
So instead we fight, we wish for this all
We want to be the best, to win the hearts of the rest
Is this all? Needy, greedy, this is why we can’t just get along.
Why things, just can’t be as simple, and prolonged.
