What if someone could tell you
About the future in store for you?
Would you dismiss them as crazy?
Or would you believe it’s true?
Is the future inevitable?
Is there a way to change it’s course?
If we knew what was going to happen
Would it diminish our remorse?
I ponder on written scripture
That foretells our destiny
The only way to everlasting life
Is to accept the prophecy
But man is mere in comparison
To the might of God’s great scheme
To have faith is all he asks of you
And believe he reigns supreme
In faith this question’s answered
By believing in his word
He’s your guiding shepherd
That protects his doting herd
Your faith will take you places
Where without it you couldn’t get in
It’ll open up the Pearly Gates
Revealing everlasting life within
So do we continue to question
If life is a random event?
Or should we just accept
All things were what God meant?
It is not our place to question
Or ask for reason why
It is our place to do his will
To be accepted when we die.
