Stealthily does life’s spring creep
While aspiration stays asleep
No sudden summer springs in haste
With wealth and glory interlaced
So many mortals do recoil
Confronted with required toil
Retreating from fatiguing chore
Whilst wishing glory came before
Take heed, my friends, there’s no short road
Your ancestors and mentors strode
And merely wishing never brought
The privileges and wealth they sought
So fix your goal on measured trails
And destiny in time unveils
A coruscating future plan
Devised by God and reaped by man
