The sound of poetry
coming from a far
Moonlight is shimmering
on ocean waves touching
the shores of a dream land
I saw those summer clouds
Dancing with joy like happy gypsies
By their chidren, dogs and caravans
I see love
demolishing
Every image depicting
pain and sorrow
in my heart
Setting the feeling
Of freedom and comfort
like a calming child prayers
In a quite spiritual night
At dawn I see a flock
Of white pigeons
Flying on the horizon
carrying hopes of serenity
This life is wonderful
Like a spring morning
Where the sun is shining
its rays sending a pure tenderness that tastes like a deep stage of Nirvana
birds on tree branches
Singing and there
I hear a soothing
Melody
change the feeling of your mood my friend
And hear the sound of poetry
To feel good and happy
For life needs to move
on with a cheerful smiles
But let us forget every thing
and hear the sound of poetry
to feel alive and revived.
The word play here is immaculate, not to mention your choice of structure. Solid poetry here.
Thank you Cyrus.
Good piece and glad that you spoke about poetry. I think some people don’t understand what poetry does for the soul, either if your writing or reading it. I know I’ve tried escaping it many times, but it’s in my blood. I commend you on a job well done.
Thank you very much.
