How many times have I walked across the park
Full of green grass, flowers, trees, fountains and pond!
Know not as the necessity does not arise so far.
How many things have we talked here and there
From A to Z what not everything under the Sun!
But remember not my friends who flatter most.
How many days we met here God knows
Punctually on time, in time and after time!
That was the time, time consciousness nobody knew.
How many queries have they raised about my ability
Out of jealousy, suspicion and too much desire!
Yet have I cutely expressed that was deep in my heart:
“I shall try and try to the last dropp of my blood
To see that I achieve the ambition I have! â€
Yes! The ambition, the noble ambition!
Not the ambition to amass more wealth than others,
Nor the ambition to excel others out of envy
In power, glory, wealth, knowledge or status,
Nor even to enjoy all pleasures of life and die,
But the noble ambition to write noble things of life.
That is human culture, our actual motto to follow in life;
For, civilization sans culture undermines real progress.
Economic thirst caused the end of cultural thirst of knowledge
So as to work and live as to the noble cause in the world.
Gandhi’s dictum of good means to good end is too difficult
But the success is delightful and satisfying in the true sense!
More than knowing noble ambition they liked progressive ideas
And so the route of each one turned to different directions.
They failed to know the background behind the noble ambition
As they were acutely for more progressive ideas than noble means;
And the years passed unnoticed in pursuit of each one’s goals.
