Illumination

Darkness all around
yet illuminated by moonlight
spinning and spinning
causing a whirlpool below
bubbles come up and catch my twirl
moonlight casts its glow
causing iridescent colors
as they catch me
spin with me
together we rise
the warm salty air surrounds me
the stars above they greet me
with arms spread out
I embrace all that is above
spinning and flying
flying so high
no fear in my heart
just the moon in my eyes
reaching high ever so high
to grasp what you are trying to say to me
for I hear your voice
yet cannot make out the words
desperately searching for translation
I reach for the moon
for in it I may feel all that you have to say
