into it, willing to try copy and paste, first typed
the information slowly, entered the numbers,
used an MS Word table formula for addition
entered the sum’s answer triumphantly

No, my colleague said, get codes from previous
Excel documents, your form is wrong, red in the
face, red in embarrassment, I try again, lose all
the numbers, cannot find code formulas at all,
realizing this is a dead end I give up

Save document on magic memory stick, going to
look for help at home – if I keep trying I am going
to lose my mind – or whatever is left of it…
