He was a good guy
He was a fair guy
He was an honest man
He had integrity
He carried a hankie in his pocket for the sad
A comforting word for the hopeless
And a 5 dollar bill for the homeless
At all times
He didn’t deserve to be screwed
He didn’t expect what life issued out…
But he got it anyway
The most beautiful of people
The most humble of souls
Weighed down by people’s words
And constant negativity
Not what he deserved no,
But he still pushed on though
Too much of a good guy
To stop his flow
Why he finished last no one knows
To structured to belong to this life
Shines so brightly
Like stars in the sky
To refreshing for his time
It’s not right,
For this good guy
To belong to this bad world
Should he change his ways
Or should he just not give a fuck bout
What people have to say
Who knows, cuz at the end of the day
He lays his head down on the pillow
Wishing it’ll all just go away
Wondering if he will ever be saved
If his mind will come back down
From outer space
And rest in the reality
Of the repetitive life he lives today
If he will ever grasp “a normal way”
So he continues to paint a smile on his face
And perform his daily duties
Like every things ok
With the sole comfort
Of his body being detached from his soul
One day…
