On a whim I just typed in Google search “poetfreak”
To my surprise the webpage name has been brought back to life
I was a member of the earlier incarnation
Those were the days of having to watch your back
There were some PF bullies who could fuck with your head
I pushed back and sometimes I was the one being attacked
The bullies with words had formed a poetic group
There were several decent poets and a few I called friends
Imagine a city with almost no police
You had almost no one to watch your back
Oh sure,, you could report being abused by sending in a complaint
Often your report was just ignored as the web police were rarely around
Many fellow poets just closed up shop …took their words to another poetry site
Ever wonder how sites with no advertising can stay open on the web?
They sell our data to other websites
I will stick around and see how it goes
I have plenty of time to kick some tires
After all I am semi-retired

I feel you man. Been on the old site as well, and like you just googled it randomly. Wish the old friends find this site again.
