I have lived in this metropolis for so long

But like all things good, they tend to go wrong

It is not just the time we wasted being spent apart

But the space that is between us which has grown

Much too far

And now in this city’s dying breath

I somehow manage to wish you the best

When I gave you my all I got nothing in return

Now I’m leaving this harbor, in the future

We may adjourn

I fear I will never find peace away from this city

But the fear of seeing you

Is beyond overwhelming

I was once a fugitive from your heart, but now

I am all alone

Till death’s unforgiving hand take us apart

Here’s hoping it takes me home…
