Call her powerless
I dare you
Call her
The girl far too mature for her age
Powerless
The girl
Who’s had to take on the role of caregiver
When her own was unable
So, go on
Call her powerless
I dare you
Call her
The girl who has moved
Back and forth
And back
And forth
And back
All to please another, while doing what she thought
Was right
Powerless
You would be
So, very, wrong
You see
She is so powerful
That the
Wind bows to her every move
The curtains of clouds
Cover the sun in shame
As she is not worthy enough to grace
Her presence
And all who believe her to be
Powerless
Cave in and cry out
At the very sight of
Her head held high
As though the was proud
Of every mountain she has climbed
Ever battle she has won
And every tear she had ever shed
Because she knows that if she is anything
Powerful is it.
