Late Regrets

I said and warned that man was bad

hearing whispers about the jealousy  i had

when you will be left hurt and  broke

you will regret taking my words as a joke,

with everyone around, drums played hard

but in your loneliness is there a guard?

in only days you are back in tears

crying, how can I live with him for years?

the baker well  knows  the bread, I  say

and  bad men are clear to me as the day

this is a price you need to pay

  1. I liked the turnaround in the last stanza, (the baker), it was unexpected and kinda put a smile on my face despite the meaning in the poem.

  2. Love the title and the content, first line starts with a straightforward warning.
I like the comparison of a baker knowing bread as you clearly know
this is a bad man and the price she needs to pay.
