My own perceptions contradict sanity
Caught up in these attractive illusions.
Basing truth on my own experience
Different colors of the same delusions.
These falsified pictures of life untrue.
So perhaps you and I aren’t so different
Both hidden from the real world’s icy fingers.
Our shared pains blanketed by unique filters,
The thought’s ignored, yet still it lingers.
Bound to whatever belief you choose.
Though this vision of yours, I’ll never share.
Never know what stains your sight .
But in your fantasy, you’re not alone
Nor in your joy or in your strife.
Perhaps reality was meant to be skewed.
