You stood in the doorway,

mortified.

Walked up into his presence

from the dark of night.

Then silently said:

Let me try,

let this cup pass by.

Give me another change 2x

 

Can feel the pulsation

of your heartbeat in fear

A roaring rumbling

is getting near

And if you only could see

you would shout

you would cry your heart out

For it’s a heartless world out there 2x

 

Your smile is a riddle

but your eyes tell the plaintive truth

They’re spurring me on into submission

into pain but redemption too

So what can this poor boy do ?

 

This world is suffering

declining fast.

Changes all over

but they will not last.
