I don’t suck on sadness as if it’s a big blue tit
he said peering at me over his glasses
I just want to put my teaspoonful into the shimmering pool.
Golden in rich hue this pool
lovingly filled passionately attended
rising against the blood of criminals
Can the rising waters quench the true thirst
will the wanton shallow polluted ghosts
be drowned in the depths of the human idea?
He looked at me into me a quiet stare
as he poured honey into his tea
it slowly dropped from his teaspoon,
a patient journey.
I suck on sadness as if it’s a big blue tit
and let my honey drop into the shimmering pool
I watch as it disappears into the bottomless waters
golden in rich hue.

Amazingly beautiful!
“I suck on sadness as if it’s a big blue tit
and let my honey drop into the shimmering pool…”
Funny because I had just gone to get me a cup of tea with honey
before I started reading your poem. ☕️
ha! that’s crazy…I hope you let the honey drop down;) thanks Lumiere
No, this new jar of organic honey is wide mouthed, so I just deep the
spoon and deep it back in the tea.
Take care, great poem.
