Her frail memory lay within the lost & found of my dreams
Inconsistent appearances cloaked with alzheimer coated venom
Destined to fade upon the undying wings of an immortal dawn
Forever out of reach of my tear-stained hands
I rise and fall with the soothing waves of her smile
Death and resurrection with every gentle touch
Obliterated by the omnipotent force of perfection
Only to be reformed by the healing stream of her love
Unbearable sorrow crowns the morning star’s glow
My harbinger of death, rather than life
Suffocation forever grips my fragile soul
For a day is eternal when breath is birthed in her eyes
Come now, O’ twilight, I beg of thee
For thy humble servant cannot bear the ever flowing day
Thy magic cloak consumes mine fiery agony
When in thine child’s warmth I lay

Yes twilight my favorite part of 24 hrs. Really liked that last stanza.
“Inconsistent appearances cloaked with alzheimer coated venom
Destined to fade upon the undying wings of an immortal dawn”
This poem hits home, my best friend suffered from Alzheimer, it was very sad
to have lost her even before she finally left. This is certainly evoking and beatiful.
I love how poetry can impact every reader differently. How it can mean something different to every soul. I love the way it can be translated & related to by unique & personal experiences. I am very humbled & joyed when blessed with the honor of my creations evoking those unique & personal feelings.
For poetry is a way to express emotion, both by the artist as well as reader.
Thank you for investing time in my creations, friends.
Claro que si con mucho placer y amor.
Just sent a replied to your poem in Spanish.
