If I Die Tomorrow

If I die tomorrow,

Don’t let anybody cry.

Let music be my parting,

Let a song be my goodbye.

Don’t bury me to weeping,

Play something hopeful, something bright,

Play a song that sounds like sunshine,

That says ‘things will be alright’.

A piano like summer tulips,

A violin that sounds like snow,

Let my spirit fly with music,

Wherever it may go.

If I die tomorrow,

Then let the music start,

For I won’t be buried empty,

But with music in my heart.
