I already posted this about two days ago, under the title, “A Simple Song of Safety”, but I went back and revised it and completely reconstructed it, now writing from the viewpoint of Death. It was so wildly different from the first draft I decided to simply delete the previous poem and repost with the revisions. I’m much happier with this result, and just proud of the poem all around. It started as an experiment with Alliteration, but ended up something I worked on for many hours. Anyway, enjoy “The Reaper’s Lullaby”.
I love stories that are told from Death’s perspective. Great rhyme and alliteration too!
