To Those Who Dare to Imagine

I return to the question at hand

Is it knowledge or doubt reborn?

Self reflection or an outsider’s view,

words of wisdom or a wasted rhyme

A forest path to evermore,

or wheels that grind the sands of time

you never know when the stillness comes

’cause the anguish it carries makes you feel alive

you never know if its throes will absolve you

if its twists will let you take the destined drive

or maybe its weight will make you fall behind

forever denied

the sense to confide

dependent, deprived

defeated

inside

you never know how long the walk could last

how lost you are, swept away with the tide

but you know how wrong you were

when hesitant & self confined

alone & unrealized

safe yet unsatisfied

you reach for the star / never cleansed of what’s behind me

a return to your own / what if she could never find me?

I could survive

Live to worship the lights that blind me

A return to my own, reach the sun with you inside me

    YESSSSS‼
    You crushed this scheme.
I didn’t want it to end.

So happy to see you writing/sharing again.
    Excellent piece, my friend!

    • well, guess who influenced me 😉 thanks for stopping by brother… always looking forward to ur comments 🙂 means everything

  2. And here you are again – virtually incapable of disappointing the reader. I continue to fight with my own pen, and yet, years later, I turn to you for help (whether you know it or not). I’ve missed this, and I promise to make more of an effort (in both writing and being a part of this community) if the rest of the Poet League of Poetfreak ’16 is willing to do the same LOL

In all seriousness, sublime work, as always.

    • damn man im so happy to see you here again… well, we’re definitely ready for it, we just need a few more pens to make it a real effort and i’m pretty sure we all could get back on track together.. thanks for stopping by, and for all the support.. i hope to see another masterpiece on your page soon 🙂

This reminds me so much of Perennial Quest! That song is so fucking epic, I love the heartfelt questions and revelations throughout this work of imagination. A good artist will always know how to make their reader engage with more than just their eyes, and this does that! I feel like I have a long journey ahead of me with a lot of reflecting to do, thank you for inspiring me.

    • Chuck’s lyrics have been a huge inspiration to me so it’s quite a great thing when u make that comparison.. thank you for reading, friend.. im glad i was able to inspire you 🙂
