Everything made sense only “back then…”
We, the mankind always wore shoes that never fit
All the masters of the world prayed for time to dream, while dreamers still dreamt of success
But never wanted to admit
Everything returns to the making it came from
How much do we know it before its forever gone
we only take a look, grab a piece of a splintered whole
Somehow satisfying… Knowing how carelessly we carry on
perhaps still aware that all things must end
Within this dream of dreams as light as a feather
Moving towards the dreadful unknown
Forgetting that this is the brighter, the better
& there never was a final exit
We just come to find again the ones that we have been
The wheel can’t be stopped
The static is motion
The matrix they called god lives so deep within
So what…?
If we were placed here
By a higher force
If there’s purpose to anguish
& an excuse for wars
We can live & give life
Remember & forget
We can love & be loved
On this stage for a moment
“So what?” remains in the end
Overlooked, incidentally used
As an apology on the graves
Of the blessed & the refused

I couldn’t even with this piece; if that weren’t enough you just HAD to drop the moc on all of us:
Overlooked, incidentally used
As an apology on the graves
Of the blessed & the refused
Bro, you and Rome are two of the greatest inspirations out there. Incredible work as always. Always taking me back to school 😉
thanks, brother… I’ve missed your reviews.. I’ve only recently got back to serious writing, so I guess we’re taking this path together 🙂
That ending hit me SO hard!
“So what?”
The unknown is so scary!
That’s so what.. 😂😉
The final exit is one of my
greatest fears.
And you just put it all into
a perspective that I never
thought of.
Another gem, my friend!
thank you my friend 🙂 i wanted to save this one until i get published so i could make it a fitting ending, but ehh i guess i’ll just have to find another one 🙂
simply a great write. this is why poetry is important. we need to continue to speak this way
thank you 🙂
I wonder where you are now? I wish you’d come back and post again.
Now this comment will sit here unread.
This poem hit hard and inspired me.
