BLACK LIVES MATTER

I stood there in disbelief.
Waitin’ for someone —
ANYONE to help give that
man some sort of relief.

Watchin’ for jus’ one decent
HUMAN BEING to step up
‘n attempt to POLICE the Police.

For one solitary bystander
to stop recordin’, ‘n try to
knock that officer down off
of his neck, from the knees.

How many times does a HUMAN
have to beg the word “PLEASE” ??

“I
CAN’T
BREATHE!”

“PLEASE!!”

Fifteen times.

FIFTEEN TIMES before he was
finally inauspiciously released..

Another senseless act of
violence, leavin’ an unarmed
BLACK LIFE deceased.

Now that days have past,
I’ve moved beyond the
many stages of grief..

I’m EMBARRASSED.
I’m MAD.
I’m DISAPPOINTED.
I’m DAD.

And so was the “Gentle Giant”
of a man, Mr. George Floyd.

There isn’t a single man in
this world, that could step in
to fill his poor Daughter’s void.

And they shouldn’t have to!!

Now I’m beyond ANNOYED..
That another BLACK LIFE was
agregiously taken – destroyed.

At what point do we as
HUMAN BEINGS come to
to the God forsaken conclusion
that THESE are the types of
situations that anyone with
an ounce of self worth should
AT ALL COSTS do their very
best to straight up avoid?

BLACK LIVES MATTER!

Whether you’re a Jones,
or an Atkins..

There has to be some serious
consequences set in place,
when ANY INHUMANE act of
indiscretion senselessly happens.

Whether you’re an Iverson,
or a Jordan.

I cannot stress it enough that..
ALL BLACK LIVES ARE IMPORTANT!

To their loved ones,
To their friends.
To their familes.
To everyone that they provide for.
To each of the mouths that they feed.

Some say that it’s “UNPATRIOTIC”
to kneel over the RED they bleed,
while WHITE privilege continues to
segregate the BLUE with every new
unforgivable, unfathomable, misdeed.

I say it’s time WE ALL COME TOGETHER!
To take a stand for RACIAL UNITY.

I believe that every Black Life, deserves
the opportunity to live the “American Dream”.

I know that every Black Life, deserves the right
to live as AMERICAN as a HUMAN BEING
can live AMERICAN FREE..

I stand with my black Friend’s,
and Community.

All Black lives matter TO ME.
I love all y’all! ✊
