This is a stupid love poem
I wish I never wrote it
I rehersed it a thousand times
To recite it right
Hoping he would fall madly
In love with me
But he’s nowhere in sight
So, this is another Friday night wasted
On writing a love poem
To a lover that ignores my efforts
On trying to swoon him into paradise
Where I would treat him like a g-d
But he would rather be abused
By a dumb-ass ex-cheerleader who
Spends more time on plastic surgery
And the gym — to be forever young
So, throw away my efforts for love
Perhaps, I am a loser on the outside
But if he looks inside
He’ll find a pure heart who loves him
