Don’t listen to the siren songs of the sea

You’ll drown a worthless death

I went to the sea, but all I heard

Was the foghorns and bells

The scientists say mermaids are really manatees

They echo a love song to each other

I don’t know about that

I’m a poet and dwell on fantasy

And myth
