Puzzled

I’ve always been the wrong piece to the puzzle

born to fit in but jammed into the wrong spot

I’ve always been the hardest piece to find a place for

people usually give up before they figure out where I go

And once you get close to finishing the puzzle

I’m the last piece that doesn’t fit

You assume the piece you need got lost

you search everywhere looking back in the box

I am obviously the last piece of the puzzle

but nobody wants me

maybe I was switched with a piece that looked like it would fit in better you see

now they take apart the whole thing

shove it all back in the box

for the next person to see

maybe they will know which place my piece should be
