Eclipse

Light is masked,

behind suffering and death,

Darkness and decay,

there’s nothing left,

The blacked out sky,

It holds no hope,

No way to live,

No way to cope,

Is it the moon,

That’s covering the sun?

Or my world turned black,

From something I’ve done?

Nothing around me,

Where’s everyone gone?

Will the eclipse end?

It’s degrading this earth,

Altered perception,

Zero self worth,

Waiting for it all to pass,

Crawling through a field of broken glass,

Struggling for the finish line,

To reach the point where I feel fine.
