Fooled by your eyes, oh those misleading eyes

Made to believe comfort encompassed you
Now here I am in the midst of love’s harm

Trust given by a fool, too easily given, too soon

Wanting to hide like a cloud covered moon
You artfully took my body, my soul, my will
So deep is the ache, it tortures my poor, poor soul

Left alone, so cold so scared and no one to hold
Yet again I fell victim to a love that selfishly lied
Go, go away. As far away as you can possibly go
I am done, I am broken I need time with me
Maybe with time my trust will once again grow
