“Sharing is caring”, or so they say.
I have an orange, but rather than eat it all on my own, I offer you some before it’s all gone.
The juicy flesh, so sweet,
Except when it’s not, then it’s dry or maybe even sour.
Regardless, I will satisfy your craving, and if we split it both down the middle, we’ll both enjoy this fruit.
So here’s to sharing, and the joy it brings.
To the bond between us,
For even the smallest gestures can fill us.
So give me a chance to give you my half,
And let us savour this moment,
For in this world, sometimes what we need most,
is a small share.
But this isn’t about oranges, is it?
