The sun has come,
And with it, shadows have dispersed,
The sun has come,
And with it, night’s dark has been reversed.
I was convinced to seek the rain, and it poured,
Instead of solace, I found a storm galore.
I danced in puddles, felt so free,
Unaware of the rainbow that’d soon be.
You shut the window to the sky so blue,
Drawing curtains, blocking the view,
Hid the sunlight, kept it from sight,
Yet I found a new dawn, oh so bright.
The sun has come,
And with it, new hope has begun,
I chased the rain,
But now, in sunlight, I run.
You promised thunder would bring delight,
With every thunderclap, light so white.
But as sun-rays touched my soul,
You chose rain, made clouds your goal.
You left me with clouds overhead,
Gave me showers, but the rainbow led,
To brighter days, now see me shine,
Look at me now,
Glowing, reflecting the sun’s design,
See my smile,
Watch how resilience has made me fine.
Once trapped in your stormy spree,
Now I’m free, as free can be.
I’ve felt raindrops, missed your sun,
Yet found warmth when the day was done,
For the brightest day comes after the darkest phase,
And now, in sunlight, my spirit blazes.
The sun has come,
And with the rain, you’ve moved on,
The sun has come,
With warmth, to which I’m drawn.
I found the sun, (Sun, sun has come)
Though you left with the dawn, (And now you’re gone)
Speaking of light, glow, glow, and glee, (Sun, sun has come)
With every sunrise, brighter I’ll be (And with new hope, I’m drawn).
Speaking of warmth, hope, and day’s song (Sun, sun has come),
Embracing the light, where I belong (In its embrace, I’m drawn).
Wow this is so we’ll written. I felt emotion in everyone.
This poem reminds me that life can always quickly change so we should not take anything for granted. I really liked the imagery
