I kept it for the DNA

This tooth I recently pulled

I heard that teeth are an excellent source

I keep it in small glass jar

With a cork to seal it

Sometimes, I take it out to look at its roots

How twisted they are

I have been tempted to try to put it back

Into the gap

But I never do

I slipped it in jar once more

Hoping it doesn’t have to spilt into
