Immolation

A once fiery flame fades
Insistent on the magical glow of many moons ago
When the ice cold dagger in it’s soul turned the warmest tears to snow
But the only glow now are the mellifluous midnight blues that compose it’s fragile soul
Twinkling amidst an ocean of light in the bright sky of night
Drowning in the phantom warmth of dead memories
He struggles for breath in the dark tombs of regret
Where ancient scars refuse to mend
For spilled tears forever flood his legs when he attempts to make a final stand

By the wrath of a greater, stronger flame
His damnation is eternal

  1. I like how this starts with “A once fiery flame fades.” And ends with “By the wrath of a greater, stronger flame.” A pretty solid write. I absolutely loved it.
