The Strength Within

In the quiet whispers of a weary heart,
Where shadows of struggle often take their part,
Let this day be what it may, with all its weight,
For even in the darkness, there’s no rush to hate.

If today’s a storm that you cannot outrun,
Lay down your burdens; let the battle be done.
It’s okay to retreat, to find solace in rest,
In a movie’s embrace or a melody’s caress.

Sadness, too, has a place in the soul,
A river that runs deep, a necessary toll.
Feel it, don’t fear it, for it’s part of the whole,
In the dance of life, where all emotions roll.

Kindness to self is a sacred art,
Especially when the world tears you apart.
No need to force joy where none is found,
Or to push through when your spirit is bound.

You don’t need to conquer every hour,
For sometimes, just being is your power.
Compassion, a balm for the inner strife,
A gentle embrace in the chaos of life.

Feel what must be felt, let it flow through,
Happiness or sadness, all are true.
Anger, too, has its rightful place,
But don’t let it steal your inner grace.

Continue to be kind to your weary mind,
To your heart, your body, and your soul combined.
Rest without guilt, take the pause you need,
For in stillness, the heart is freed.

And if tomorrow doesn’t bring the sun,
Remember, someday, better days will come.
Hold on to hope, let it be your guide,
For in life’s ebb and flow, you will find your stride.
