It’s okay, kid, I see you there,
Eyes wide with worry, too much to bear.
You’re trying so hard, holding back tears,
Braving the world with all of your fears.
I know the weight that you carry inside,
The things you don’t say, the thoughts that you hide.
You wonder if anyone sees through the mask,
If being yourself is too much to ask.
But listen, kid, it’ll be alright,
You’re stronger than shadows that dance in the night.
The world might be big, and you feel so small,
But you’ll find your way, even if you fall.
It’s okay, kid, you don’t have to know,
How every step will help you grow.
Mistakes will be made, and days will feel long,
But each one will teach you where you belong.
There will be storms, but skies will clear,
And you’ll find your voice, you’ll conquer the fear.
The path might be hard, the road might be rough,
But trust in yourself, I know you’re enough.
So, breathe, kid, and take it slow,
There’s so much ahead that you’ll learn and grow.
And when you’re lost, don’t forget to see,
The person you’ll be is waiting in me.
