You said that you loved my soul
And my purity of the heart
You wanted to show me everything you possess
The paintings
And rare books
But I wanted to see the real you
The shy little boy who liked comics
And his baseball mitt
And feel the sadness you experienced
When yr father passed away
My heart craves to see yr innocence
That you hid away in an expensive suit
May I peel away the layers you covered youself with?
I’ll be careful
