Been down the road
Headin’ due south
Fed up with the cold
But not my gal
We’s goin’ to the warmth
To sit in the sun
Drinkin’ rum and cokes
Then we’s head back
Up North
To catch the indigo sky
Just then, my gal haas left me
For the tequila sunrise

Nice flow I had to look up Kerouac. Jack Kerouac (1922-1969), an American novelist and poet. I’m not that informed on famous poets, thanks for the enlightenment.
Blame it on that tequila sunrise, nicely penned work.
