Here I am and remain
again
and once again
Here I stand
or try to
and try to
withstand
but of course I can’t
and I can’t coerce the time
Here I lay
in the remains
we stained
and I strain
I writhe, I rot
and am wrought
by my own hands
and hence
I lack yours
and tack more
time spent wasted
and abhorred
my adored
Here I am and alone
in the bones
picked dry
of carrion
Here I am and carry on
or try to
and try to
but of course
the sheets are course
without you
and I know
that I knew
or think I did
but I hid it away
and
anyway
Here I am
and there are more
than four walls
this time.
