Bittersweet,
Never knowing when or if
You will see them again,
New memories made
New places visited
And relationships strengthened,
Goodbyes are always the hardest part
But without them there would never
Be any hello’s
When it feels too painful
And it’s trying to engulf you
In it’s emptiness
Remember the hello’s
Remember the smiles
And the laughs
Let them wrap themselves around you
Allow yourself to indulge in the hello’s
It’s okay if you cry
The tears are filled with memories,
Memories to hold onto
Until the next
Hello.

Until the next “hello” indeed. I have to say that, as a fan of your work, I can appreciate the meta-observation of letting yourself get lost in poetry, and inviting the sour truth that it has to end. This encompasses so much of what I appreciate the most about your work – it’s adventurous. Beautiful, as always.
Adventure is what I love most, glad you liked it, I spent a bit of time on this one rather than just rambling and uploading! Thank you for reading

Engulfed I am in this beautiful piece of art. I would love to know how you’d read it though.
Thanks for sharing.
That is one of the most difficult things I’m finding with poetry, how every person will read it differently and will it make the same sense if read not how I meant it to be! Thank you for reading and thank you for the lovely feedback x
I like it, it makes me think of learning how to let someone go after a death
Thank you for your feedback 🙂
“Let them wrap themselves around you” – memories keep you warm on cold and lonely nights, loved it 🙂
Thank you ☺ you’re right they definitely do, there’s this memory I have of peddalowing down a river with my best friend, it was amazing :3
