A Smile

A smile is such a sweet thing
It opens windows of the soul
The eyes so full of loving light
The lips that make it whole.
The sunshine shown to others
As your face lights up the day
That brings happiness to all of friends
As they go there worldly way
So smile at all who pass you
and they can pass it on
and light up this dark and dreary day
And add a little song
I can smile and so can you
Pass it on to others too
They can pass it to a friend
around in circles and around the bend
Around the corner in dark dark places
Are sunlit heavens and happy faces
Just smile and let you heart begin
to open windows from within.
