I’m catching onto
My own bitterness
As a queen moves in
They were once homeless
I was a good friend
But that means nothing
To the kind of world
That is rotating
I know there’s angelic poetry somewhere
For I know evil can’t be omnipresent
And when I feel my mind is scattered everywhere
I try tuning into the wholeness of my existence
Friendship, like water
Quenches both our thirst
But evaporates
We’re too dry to hurt
And we were cartoons
But reality
Tore us far apart
Torn is faith in me
I know there’s angelic poetry somewhere
For I know evil can’t be omnipresent
And when I feel my mind is scattered everywhere
I try tuning into the wholeness of my existence.
