Old loves smoulder
within the ashes of love’s memories
waiting for some spark
to bring them back to life.
However, love has moved on
to further and fonder fields,
but the old loves still smoulder
within the ashes of love’s memories.
In territories, we are forbidden to return to.
There they will remain forever
within the ashes of love’s memories.
