Icicles hung on the eves like stalactites
under a pale grey white wintry sky.
Snow crept down to the roofs edge to say hello.
Picturesque enchantment of winter
whose white glove stretches out over everything about.
Silence reins in the morning mist
whose cloudy blanket falls
engulfing all who venture forth
in the early morning silence
of the cold light of dawn.
