I stood gazing at my Daddy,
As he waved to me goodbye.
How could he make me do this,
Then stand and watch me cry?
I tried to be strong for him,
My tearing I would fight.
But in my heart was screaming,
For him to hold me tight.

My Daddy said he loved me,
And always will be there
But right when I needed him,
He did not seem to care
So I turn and walked with Mummy,
And got up in the car
I’m not sure where we’re going,
But I know it’s very far.
My Son had said he loved me,
I told him I’d be there,
But right as I had said it,
He turned without a care
He wanted to go with Mummy,
Move off to a new city
I’m not sure how I’ll do this,
Dwelling in my pity.
The car has started moving,
I see Daddy as we go.
He isn’t going to stop me,
My tears they start to flow.
I cannot seem to stop them,
No matter how hard I try,
but Mummy says it’s ok
For little boys to cry.
